From the President’s desk:
Dear StAR 876 members,

I’m pleased to announce a change of the guard, so to speak. I’ve decided to concentrate on a few other more-pressing priorities and am handing the reins of the St Augustine Rocketeers to our very capable VP, David Simmons.

David is an avid model rocket enthusiast, with extensive experience in building, flying, and most importantly, outreach projects with local schools. David is a long-time resident of St Johns County, FL, and will work hard to serve all club members as the new club President. Thank you, David, for accepting this challenge!

It was my great pleasure to start the club, and to work to establish a foundation for fostering interest in amateur rocketry. It is my wish that StAR 876 will continue to provide guidance and support to our young, future rocketeers.

I’ll stick around, mainly in an advisory role, and hope to see you at the field sometime in the near future.

Please join me in congratulating David, and wish him the best on his new endeavor.

With kind regards,

Luis Jimenez
